A Pair of Pelham puppet based puppets redressed as the
Grand High Witch
from Roald Dahl's classic The Witches -
both in and out of her human disguise.

These two companion puppets, using vintage Pelham Puppets as a base, recreate the terrifying Grand High Witch from Roald Dahl's beloved classic, The Witches - both in and out of her human disguise. They were inspired by the iconic hotel ballroom scene, where the witches show their true colours; The Grand High Witch portrayed in horrific glory by the wonderful Anjelica Huston.

In her true demonic form she has a newly moulded bald-head, humped-back, sunken chest and toe-less feet; all using ultra-hardening modelling materials.

In her 'masked' and elegant human form she uses Pelham Puppet Ballet Girl as a base and sports a specifically repainted face, gloved hands and high heels. Her wig/hair is crafted from a new specially styled wig.

Both wear a matching black satin gown with a purple taffeta train and bow cut from a specifically designed pattern. They have a magical pendant hanging from their necks and various diamante trims. They are attached to a vintage controller and are strung in the traditional Pelham string colours.
