Lady Jane Grey and the Executioner

Lady Jane grey - the 'Nine Days Queen'!
A Pelham Fairy puppet was used as the base for this creation. Her over-gown is made of a thick duchesse satin, with red velvet used to create her upturned sleeves. A gold hued brocade supports as an underskirt and was also used for her decorative under-sleeves.
She is trimmed with braid, pearls and pleated lace.
The Executioner!
With a Pelham 'Prince Charming' Puppet as a base, the executioner has a red velvet doublet, black taffeta and ribbon breeches, black taffeta hood and a purple half mask.
His axe is crafted from a highly strong, two part modelling clay and is strung on the controller for a rising and falling motion.
