Queen Elizabeth I

A Pelham Puppet redressed as the final Tudor monarch

Queen Elizabeth I

Pelham Puppet redressed as Queen Elizabeth I by Alexander Sanderson Designs

This puppet was originally a vintage Pelham Cinderella.
The original hair was completely removed and a new, specially restyled hair-piece replaced it - which was then embellished with a gold metallic lace sunburst, lined with pearls and golden highlights. The face was entirely repainted to achieve more of a likeness to Elizabeth's portraits and her eyes are topped with gold.

Her wide gown is a thick black duchesse satin sitting over a flock velvet taffeta. The skirt front is edged with pearls and yellow bows. She wears her bodice with two strings of pearls, a diamond brooch and the neckline trimmed with a rhinestone chain. She has long, gold taffeta lined over-sleeves draping over the back of her skirts. Her high ruff collar is created from black lace, golden lace and pearls.
