Mary Queen of Scots
This marionette measures approximately 49cm tall and has a specially sculpted head, hands and feet/lower legs. She is strung to a two handed marionette, built within our workshop.
Mary Stuart, Queen of Scots was the tragic ruler of Scotland and cousin to Queen Elizabeth I of England. After a series of calamities she was deposed and fled to England when she fell into the hands of Elizabeth. She was imprisoned for nineteen years before being beheaded after facing charges of high treason.
She is dressed in a rich, black velvet gown over a gold brocade underskirt. Around her neck she wears a ruff and she wears a lace trimmed 'Mary Stuart' hood upon her head. Her costume is embellished with faux pearls, lace and a gold crucifix hangs from her waist.
This is a new marionette from 'Alexander Sanderson Designs' 2025 collection.
Each character comes with a specially created storage bag and two handed controller.
